If you've wondered why (or even noticed that) I've been absent from the blogosphere lately, it's because I got a haircut and got a real job.
Well, not the haircut really, but I did get a job. It's also only realish for someone who's almost 40 since I make just a wee bit over minimum wage and work under 40 hours a week. Also, I have no big brother Bob.
The work is good and has rewards beyond the paycheck, but it has been an adjustment. I have to learn to organize my time all over again, and I've never been very good at that. I do miss blogging and all my internet friends, so I'm hoping to get back to it soon.
Besides the time constraints, it has also been hard to blog since my mind has been on my job and things relating to my work, but I can't really write about that due to confidentiality rules. I'm not really even supposed to discuss work at home. When I tried to explain this to my youngest daughter, she exclaimed, "What is it with you picking jobs you can't talk about?" Yes, like my census job (where I could be put in prison and/or fined for disclosing highly sensitive information widely available on the internet or the phone book) this new job is also very cloak and dagger. I could tell you, but I'd have to kill you. Or they'd have to axe me. Or something.
I love this song. When the kids were little and first heard it, they thought it was about a secret Asian man. It made me giggle and it still does, which is why I will always sing it that way. What would it mean to be a secret Asian man? Would that be someone of unknown Asian ancestry or, like, a ninja?
The new job is not, however, as a secret agent (or Asian) man (or woman). Although that would be exciting and I might get to do some of the traveling I've always wanted to do. I'd have to draw the line at killing people, though. That just ain't my style. I could tie them up and make them listen to me talk or watch me sing and dance along with the radio. That might be just as bad. Wait, that's kind of what I do on this blog. Hmmm...
So, to summarize, I have a new job. I did not have to get a haircut for said job. Although my new job does not entail being a secret agent/Asian, I am not supposed to talk about many of the details of the job, but maybe I will be able to figure out some more generalized things I can share about what I'm doing. Or maybe I will be able to get work out of my mind long enough to write about something else.
And I do need a haircut.

Nice to see you catching us up a little bit. Looking forward to more.

А! 写这篇非常感谢,这是unbelieveably信息,并告诉我一吨
There is no job that pays just over minimum wage that is worth a second thought after work. Either they pay you what you are worth or you should go on with your life like it wasn't important. As for low pay and confidentiality, there are people that make thousands of dollars a month that can't keep a secret. For less than real money, I won't even tell you good luck. They don't deserve intelligent people working for them. MUD
I did miss you from the Daily Trivia contest at WT's. I am glad to find that you are well and have a new job, a mysterious new job. I hope that is all is well.
Take care
I popped over from WT's Daily Trivia Contest where you are missed. Glad that you have a new job and sometimes? the satisfaction that you get from doing a great job can't be measured by remuneration. If it gives you pleasure and/or a sense of accomplishment, that is worth a great deal. Congrats!
